EN INDISK/NORSK-SAMARBEID MED RUKMINI CHATTERJEE OG VREID
Neste år vil tre verdener møtes når Rukmini Chatterjees forestilling "Questionings" med Vreid og fransk ny teknologi-artister Idun skal opptre i den norske Opera og flere scener i India.
Ideen og regien av forestillingen er av Rukmini Chatterjee, en forestilling basert på de forskjellige motsetningene av eksistensen i vår verden. Verdenspremieren vil være på Kamani auditorium i Delhi 26. mars 2012.
Dette prosjektet et resultat av Rikskonsertenes samarbeid med indiske musikkmiljøer, et samarbeid som er støttet av Utenriksdepartementet, og som har pågått siden 2002.

« Questionings » is a quest to invoke and explore 'the different energies', that surround us, so as to try and understand the complexities of 'Mans' existence in our times. Artistically its a coming together of Norwegian metal band Vreid´s music, Indian classical dance and music, and French New Technology. The past and the present come together to 'light the path'. In this performance the Tantric energies of 'Kali' will come together with the thoughts, lyrics and intensity of Norwegian metal music and the techniques of New technology, to bring forth another dimension: the universal dimension of the man of today.
"The artistic path I tread is about searching the underlying unity in different worlds, different cultures, different art forms and artists, as well as crossing borders of all sorts, so as to try and understand the ‘self’ and in doing so understand the ‘other’ and maybe approach the ‘universal’. « Questionings » is a continuation of this path.
