Programme description

Objective
By focusing on quality in the communication of music to children and young people and by establishing a professional network, the Nordic network shall promote the development of the national organisations in the Nordic countries and strengthen the Nordic collaboration. 

The objective is to be attained through:

• Exchanging experience, ideas, programmes and performers
The network meets twice a year, a producer forum has been established, and an exchange project at Nordic level has been submitted to the Nordic Council.

• Planning and conducting projects
We will participate in each other’s festivals and in other arenas for programme presentation, to develop research programmes, and to share knowledge about the music of other countries and continents.

• Planning and conducting conferences and workshops 
We will work to ensure the provision of both educational opportunities for producers and tour coordinators and advice on the dissemination of music to children and young people. To develop NNS we will invite the most competent researchers and will discuss, initiate and test new dissemination models with experts in related art forms as well as in other cultures.

• Providing each other and other relevant national and international organisations with continuous information
We will work to develop good information modules (websites, brochures etc.)
